Sliema Wanderers FC (0 – 1) Marsaxlokk FC
Marsaxlokk added more woes to Sliema Wanderers as the southseasiders secured a 1-0 win.
The match turned out to be a very balanced affair but it was a defensive lapse in the Sliema defence as Leandro Aguirre fed Alex De Aguiar who fired home the winner.
Birkirkara FC (2 – 0) Hibernians FC
Birkirkara scored three important points when they overcame the challenge of Hibernians at the National Stadium.
Leandro Lacunza put Birkirkara ahead after 37 minutes and with Hibernians failing to mount a reaction, the Stripes sealed the points with a second goal eight minutes from time through Yikpe Gnamien.
Floriana FC (2 – 2) Mosta FC
Floriana needed a late penalty from Franklin Sasere to rescue a 2-2 draw against Mosta.
It looked as though Floriana were staring at defeat after Clayton Failla converted two penalties with Floriana finding the net once through Dunstan Vella.
But two minutes from time, Floriana were awarded a penalty and Sasere stepped up to convert from the spot and hand his team a vital point.
Ħamrun Spartans FC (0 – 1) Gżira United FC
Gżira United boosted their hopes of a Top Six berth with a clinical victory over champions Ħamrun Spartans.
Thaylor Aldama, who had just been on the pitch for a few minutes, struck the winner midway through the first half as the winger pounced on a short rebound, goalkeeper Henry Bonello had denied Diogo Barbosa, to bundle the ball home and hand his team three vital points.
Naxxar Lions FC (1 – 1) Żabbar St. Patrick FC
Naxxar Lions continued to pick u points when they held Żabbar St Patrick to a 1-1 draw.
Naxxar Lions were off to a dream start when Edward Bolanos put them ahead ahead after two minutes.

Balzan FC (1 – 1) Melita FC
Melita and Balzan took a point each following a 1-1 draw.
Clive Mizzi’s Melita took a deserved first-half lead through Camilo Sanchez.
