The official draws for the Enemed Men’s and Women’s Futsal Leagues 2025/26 took place at the AX Palace Hotel, gathering all participating clubs. The event was also graced by Mr. Karl Loftus, Commercial Manager of Enemed, the long-standing partners of Futsal Malta.
Mr. Loftus expressed his delight at continuing the collaboration, noting Enemed’s pride in supporting both futsal and the wider sporting community. He praised the committee’s commitment and energy, wishing all teams success in the new season.
Women’s Futsal League
The Women’s League will play out on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, kicking off on Tuesday, 21st October 2025 at De La Salle College.

The format features two league rounds, with the top four advancing to the playoffs. Semifinals will be played over two legs with extra time in case of a tie, and the final will be decided in a best-of-three series.
Men’s Futsal League
Men’s league action begins earlier on Wednesday, 8th October 2025 at the National Sports School.

This year’s format adopts a single round-robin, after which teams split into Premier and Challenger Leagues. Playoffs will follow the same system as the women’s competition, with two-legged semifinals and a best-of-three final.
New Developments and Initiatives
This season promises several exciting developments:
- Both the Men’s and Women’s Super Cups will be held in December at the National Sports School, along with a dedicated Futsal Village for supporters.
- For the first time, all finals will feature VAR technology, boosting professionalism and transparency.
- Discussions with SportMalta are nearing completion to secure subsidised training hours for clubs at the Cottonera Sports Complex, enhancing facility access.
- Matches will continue to be streamed live on the Futsal Malta YouTube channel, with fans encouraged to attend in person for the unique futsal atmosphere.

In closing, Vice President Mr. Kurt Rizzo emphasized the significance of this anniversary season.
He thanked Enemed, SportMalta, the media, and all clubs for their support, underlining the remarkable growth in quality and popularity of Maltese futsal.
