It was another exciting week for futsal fans in Malta, with six matches taking place across the men’s and women’s leagues. The men’s league fixture between Luxol St Andrews and Futsal Selection U19 was postponed due to circumstances beyond control, but the remaining matches provided plenty of drama and goals.
Men’s League Highlights
The University of Malta Students Futsal Team delivered a dominant performance, defeating the Malta FA Futsal Selection U17 with an emphatic 13–0 scoreline. Colombian player Cruz Guiterrez Roller Santiago and Argentine Fernandez Cristian Jose were instrumental in the victory, both netting four goals each.

Marsaskala Futsal Legends continued their strong form with a convincing 9–2 win over newcomers Santa Venera Lightnings Futsal. Karl Luke Schembri was the standout performer, scoring four goals for Marsaskala, who were already 6–1 up by halftime.

In another thrilling encounter, GŻR Birżebbuġa St. Peter’s Futsal outclassed Żejtun Corinthians Futsal WA with an 11–2 victory. Colombian star Diaz Montanez Cristian Camilo made a big impact, finding the net four times to secure the win.
Women’s League Kicks Off
The women’s futsal league also got underway, showcasing both skill and intensity in the opening matches. St George’s Futsal started their campaign in style, defeating Parr Mela Rockets Futsal 9–1. Estefany Colemnarez led the charge with four goals for St George’s, while Parr Mela’s Paula Perdomo was sent off following a disciplinary incident.

Luxol Sports Club Futsal Argus earned a hard-fought 2–0 victory over Swieqi United Futsal LECO7. An own goal from Spiteri gave Luxol the lead in the 15th minute, followed shortly after by a strike from Rodanne Azzopardi that sealed the result before halftime.

Knock Out champions Zero Sei Futsal made a strong start to their season as well, cruising past St Andrews Futsal with a 5–0 victory. The team took control early, leading 3–0 at halftime, and saw five different players getting on the scoresheet.
