The Marvel Cinematic Universe has paved the way for many actors to make their mark in the roles they play whether major or small.
There are also a few actors or actresses who have played more than one role in this universe.
Here are some of them.
Benedict Cumberbatch
Benedict is known as Doctor Strange, portraying the character in multiple movies throughout the universe.
He also voiced and motion captured Dormammu the main villain in Doctor Strange (2016).
To bring the villain to life, he combined his voice to another unknown actor.
Michelle Yeoh
Fresh from her Oscar win, the Malaysian veteran actress made her MCU debut in Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2 (2017)
She appeared briefly as a ravager named Aleta Ogord.
Four years later, she starred in Shang Chi playing a more significant role in Ying Nan, Shang Chi’s aunty.
Paul Bettany
The British actor has been a regular in this universe since he first appeared as the AI computer Jarvis in Iron Man (2008).
He voiced the computer until Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) where he was brought to life as Vision.
Bettany then returned as Vision in Marvel’s first streaming series on Disney+.
He is also set to continue his role in the upcoming series Vision Quest.
Linda Cardellini
Cardellini starred as Hawkeye’s wife in Age of Ultron (2015) and Hawkeye (2021), another Disney+ show.
Recently, she portrayed Lylla the Otter in Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3.
Joe Russo
Joe is Antony’s brother and they both directed some of the MCU’s finest films.
Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, the list is endless!
Joe also plays multiple but small roles as a doctor in Captain America: Winter Soldier (2014) and a psychiatrist in Civil War (2016).
His last role was in Endgame where he played one of Steve Rogers/Captain America’s support group members.
Gemma Chan
Chan first appeared as Minn-Erva, the blue skinned Starforce member in Captain Marvel (2019).
She then played a major role in Phase 4, where she starred as Sersi in The Eternals (2021).
Gemma is very likely to return as Sersi in its sequel, but we have not yet seen any signs of production getting underway.
Patton Oswalt
Patton’s MCU roles are mostly featured on the small screen most notably in Agents of Shield.
He played the five Koenical siblings in nine episodes of the show.
Oswalt then appeared as Pip The Troll in The Eternals (2021), which he will continue in the future.
Tara Strong
Strong is no stranger to voice acting, having been involved in multiple video games and Cartoon Network shows.
Tara’s most famous role in the MCU is in Loki (2021) where she voices Miss Minutes, the main AI antagonist.
She will return as the character in the show’s second season and the upcoming Deadpool 3.
In Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3, she voiced a minor character named Mainframe.
