Over the years Mark has been shooting some mesmerising photographs.

But it is his most recent light painting photography that really caught our attention.

Light painting is a technique in photography where light is used to ‘paint’ into an image during long exposure.

Long exposure is a camera setting that allows the shutter to stay open for a longer period of time in order to allow it to capture light trails.

He has been using this technique in different areas all around Malta and Gozo.

Mark Cassar often uses a drone as a light source but it can also be done with a hand held light such as your phone.
