Ed Sheeran has won the copyright trial against songwriters who claimed that he copied one of their tracks.
Sheeran and his co-writers had been accused of plagiarising Sami Switch’s ‘Oh Why’ song which was released 7 years ago when ‘Shape Of You’ dropped 2 years later in 2015.
Ed posted a video statement to let his fans know that “baseless” copyright claims were “damaging” to the songwriting industry.
