Futsal Malta is gearing up for a new and historic season as the 15th edition of the Men’s Futsal Championships officially kicks off in October. This year’s competitions will once again be supported by Enemed, who are returning as the main sponsor of Malta’s premier futsal tournaments.
As in previous editions, the season will feature three prestigious tournaments: the Championship, the Trophy, and the Super Cup, providing months of intense and highly competitive futsal action.
Luxol St Andrews Chase an Eighth Title
Defending champions Luxol St Andrews Futsal will enter the new season as favourites, aiming to extend their incredible winning streak to eight consecutive titles. Their dominance has defined Maltese futsal in recent years, but fresh competition is on the horizon.
This season introduces three new clubs:
- Sliema Futsal Fort Fitness
- Santa Venera Lightnings Futsal
- Żejtun Corinthians Futsal WA
These teams will join a strong lineup of returning sides, including Futsal Selection U17, Futsal Selection U19, GŻR Birżebbuġa St. Peter’s Futsal, Marsaskala Futsal Legends, and University of Malta Futsal.
Matches will be hosted at the National Sports School in Pembroke, taking place every Wednesday and Friday evening, as well as Saturday afternoons.
The much-anticipated Enemed Futsal League draws, for both the men’s and women’s competitions, are scheduled for Monday, 22nd September at the AX The Palace Hotel. On this day, clubs will discover their opening fixtures and the full sequence of matches for the Main Round of the Championship.
Fans Set to Enjoy On-Site & Online Action
All matches will be streamed live on Futsal Malta’s official YouTube channel. However, supporters are strongly encouraged to attend games in person, where they can immerse themselves in the unique and vibrant futsal atmosphere that has become a hallmark of the sport on the island.
With new teams, fresh talent, and an ever-increasing audience, the 15th edition of the Men’s Futsal Championships promises to be a thrilling season that pushes Maltese futsal to greater heights.
