The 80th annual Golden Globes took place at the Beverly Hills Hotel last night.
Steven Spielberg’s The Fabelmans took home the big two awards of the night winning Best Picture and Director.
Austin Butler and Cate Blanchett’s roles as Elvis Presley and Lydia Tar in their respective films Elvis and Tar both won Best Actor and Actress, both of which were fully deserved.
Michelle Yeoh and Ke Huy Quan both nabbed Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy and Best Supporting Actor for Everything Everywhere All at Once.
Angela Bassett grabbed Best Supporting Actress for Black Panther Wakanda Forever.
Martin McDonagh’s, The Banshees of Inisherin won the most awards of the night taking home three in Best Picture in a Musical or Comedy, Best Supporting Actor in a Musical or Comedy with Colin Farrell and Best Screenplay.
Gulliermo Del Toro’s Pinocchio stood out as the Best Motion Picture in Animation.
As for the small screen, the mockumentary sitcom Abbott Elementary won three awards in the musical or comedy category; Best Series, Best Actress with Quinta Brunson and Tyler James Williams won Best Supporting Actor.
HBO’s The White Lotus won Best Limited Series and Best Supporting Actress with Jennifer Coolidge.
Lastly, Evan Peters’ haunting performance as serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer won him the Best Actor in a Limited Tv series for Dahmer.
