A clean sweep, clutch performances, and celebration mode: Hibs are crowned champions once again.
Hibernians have been crowned the 2025 BOV Basketball Amateur League champions after putting on a dominant show in the finals. They took down Qormi Dragons in a convincing 3-0 series win, wrapping up the best-of-five playoff without dropping a single game.

Game 1: Making a Statement
Hibs came out flying in Game 1 with a powerful 87-57 win.
Teodor Gjurovski went off with 30 points and 15 rebounds, while Luke Attard added 27 points and 7 rebounds to set the tone for the rest of the series.
Game 2: Still Unstoppable
Qormi Dragons couldn’t find an answer in Game 2 either. Hibernians continued their dominance with a 90-67 win.
Stefan Simic stepped up big time with 28 points and 12 rebounds, while Luke Attard kept it cool with 11 points and 7 assists.
Game 3: A Tighter Fight
Game 3 had more drama. Qormi were in it until late in the third quarter, trailing Hibernians by just 2 points at 61-59. But when Qormi’s key playmaker Christoff went down injured (after dropping 22 points), Hibs took control.
Final score? 85-78.
Final result? A clean sweep and a well-earned fifth Amateur League title for Hibernians.
MVP Energy 💪
With a combined 64 points, 28 rebounds, and 22 assists across the series, Stefan Simic was named Most Valuable Player of the finals.
He was presented with a custom MVP token by Malta Basketball Association President Paul Sultana, joined by Bank of Valletta’s Chief Operations Officer, Ernest Agius.
