Help complete the St Michael Hospice Complex by supporting Hospice Malta’s ‘L-Aħħar Pass’ Telethon
Hospice Malta, the NGO dedicated to free palliative care, announces its annual fundraising telethon, ‘L-Aħħar Pass’. The event will take place on Sunday, 7th July 2024, from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm.
The goal is to gather support for the final stages of the St Michael Hospice complex, set to open in September 2024.
Broadcast live from St Michael Hospice in Santa Venera, the 12-hour telethon will feature stories and interviews showcasing Hospice Malta’s impact.
St Michael Hospice, Malta’s first palliative care complex, will offer essential in-patient facilities and expanded services, marking a milestone in Hospice Malta’s 35-year commitment to holistic care.
Chairperson Bernadette Bonnici Kind and CEO Kenneth Delia emphasised the importance of completing the project and the rising demand for their services.
In 2023, Hospice Malta supported 1,500 families, providing nearly 37,000 care sessions, over 11,000 volunteer hours, and loaning over 2,500 pieces of essential equipment.
Donations to the ‘L-Aħħar Pass’ telethon can be made via calls, SMS, online platforms, and pledges, helping Hospice Malta continue its mission of providing high-quality palliative care.
