Busli’s debut production takes to the stage this weekend!
“Guilietta: An Auction through Time” sees Shakespeare’s Giulietta take centre stage surrounded by artefacts she is auctioning off.
Busli Theatre Collective is headed by Rowena Zammit and Michael Farrugia.
After meeting each other in their MCAST student days the pair waited to have enough industry experience before taking the plunge and putting up their own production!
Kelly Peplow will portray Giulietta in the production.
Other actors involved include Sarah Vella, Sarah Amato and Michael Farrugia.
Rowena Zammit, the other founding member of Busli, writes and directs.
The most important thing about this production is that it goes beyond a play.
It is an interactive, light hearted exploration of the human experience through Giulietta’s timeless character.
What stories will unravel and what is the truth behind the prized possessions being auctioned off by Giulietta?
We hope to answer those questions after watching the show!
In Valletta, it will all take place between the 16th and 18th of February at Sala San Duminku.
