Malta Classic 2025: Classic Cars, High Speed Thrills & A Touch of Elegance

From hill climbs to the iconic Mdina Grand Prix, here’s everything you need to know about Malta’s ultimate celebration of vintage motorsport.

The countdown is on. Malta Classic 2025 takes over the island from 23rd to 26th October with four adrenaline-filled days of racing, style, and timeless motoring heritage.

The official launch took place at the Salini Hotel. Organisers and partners came together to share what promises to be one of Malta’s biggest cultural and sporting events of the year.

A Classic Start at the Press Conference

Pamela Said, Operations Director at Malta Classic, opened with an energetic preview. She promised that the 15th edition will once again blend motorsport tradition with elegance and glamour.

Karl Loftus, Commercial Manager at Enemed, spoke about the anticipation. He noted that fans ask about the Malta Classic well in advance each year. This proves its status as Malta’s most iconic motoring festival.

Transport Malta’s Gilbert Agius and Alexander Kitcher confirmed their continued support. Their teams will handle traffic management and safety to ensure smooth event flow.

MTA Senior Manager Francesca Vincenti highlighted the event’s international impact. She said it attracts overseas drivers and helps showcase Malta as a top destination for classic car enthusiasts.

The press conference also featured a special reveal. The official winner’s prize — a Paul Picot Firshire Megarotor Automatic timepiece — was unveiled by Victor Azzopardi Jewellers. A champion’s reward.

What to Expect at Malta Classic 2025

This year’s edition runs across Attard, Mtahleb, Rabat, Mtarfa, and Mdina. Each day has its own highlight:

  • Thursday 23rd October – Mtahleb Classic Hill Climb (by Hudson Group)
Vintage cars will race up the legendary 1970s hill climb track. Drivers will use this chance to fine-tune their machines ahead of the weekend.

  • Friday 24th October – Style & Elegance (by Mdina Glass)
Held at Villa Bologna in Attard, this showcase celebrates Malta’s most stylish vehicles. Expect vintage glamour, rare cars, and period costumes. Many vehicles will be revealed publicly for the first time.

  • Saturday 25th & Sunday 26th October – The Mdina Grand Prix (fuelled by Enemed)
The weekend is all about speed. Saturday hosts the time trials, while Sunday delivers group races, overtakes, and the crowning of champions.

International Lineup & Iconic Cars

This year’s Malta Classic also welcomes international drivers. Participants are coming from Sicily, the UK, and Germany.

Motorsport fans can expect to see legends such as the Ferrari Dino 206 SP, Lotus Europa, Austin 7 Special, and Alfa Romeo Giulia Super. More details will be revealed soon through official channels.
