Malta Makes Its Mark At BRICS+ Fashion Summit 2025 In Moscow

The BRICS+ Fashion Summit 2025 brought together the voices shaping the future of international fashion.

Held between August 28 and 30, 2025, the event gathered over one hundred leading figures from around the world.

These include fashion week organisers, designers, manufacturing leaders, and presidents of chambers of commerce.

Together with coming together to discuss the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities redefining the global fashion industry.

Among the distinguished guests was Adrian J. Mizzi, Producer and Founder of Malta Fashion Week, who represented Malta.

Malta’s Voice on the Global Stage

During his address, Mr Mizzi shared his insights on the theme “Quality vs Quantity,” exploring how fashion weeks and brands can uphold high standards of excellence while remaining inclusive and accessible.

Reflecting on the evolution of Malta’s own fashion scene, he highlighted how Malta Fashion Week has grown into a unique platform blending artistic expression with cultural tourism.

“Fashion can be more than glamour and design it can be a cultural bridge and a vehicle for attracting quality tourism,” said Mr Mizzi.


“Malta Fashion Week embodies this vision by giving visibility to our islands through creativity and collaboration.”

Strengthening Malta’s Creative Footprint

Mr Mizzi’s participation follows his 2024 involvement at the BRICS+ Summit, on “How Fashion Can Attract High-Quality Tourism.”

Moreover, his engagement underscores Malta’s growing influence in the global creative sector and opens new doors for local designers, educators, and entrepreneurs to collaborate internationally.

With representatives from over 100 countries, this once again proved to be a vital platform for cultural exchange and industry innovation.

Malta’s active participation further strengthens its reputation as a hub for creativity, design, and fashion diplomacy.

Expanding Global Opportunities

Following the summit, attendees were also invited to Moscow Fashion Week, one of the world’s most prestigious fashion events.

The collaboration provided opportunities for dialogue, exposure, and partnership among global fashion communities with Malta as a rising cultural player.
