Malta Rugby Championship Unveils New Identity!

Malta Rugby Championship: A New Identity for Local Rugby

The local rugby scene in Malta has officially rebranded under the name Malta Rugby Championship (MRC).

Establishing a unified identity that reflects the sport’s dynamic and competitive nature.

A Fresh New Identity

The MRC has a new logo and color scheme that represents Maltese rugby values.

Royal blue stands for quality in the men’s premiership, purple represents empowerment in women’s rugby, and coral shows energy in the knockout competition.

The logo features a proud Ram, symbolising pride, bravery, and respect that the sport brings.

Overview of Competitions

The MRC houses several major competitions, including the Men’s Rugby Premiership, the premier league where top clubs compete, and the Women’s 7s League, which serves as a platform for women’s teams to showcase their talent.

Additionally, there is the Malta Rugby Prestige Cup, a knockout competition that tests teams’ skills, and the Ray Elliot Cup, also known as the Super Cup, which represents the ultimate challenge for the best teams in Malta.

This Saturday at 16:30, the Ray Elliot Cup will kick off the season in a thrilling matchup between the previous season’s league champions and the cup winners.

This year’s edition is particularly special, as it marks the final year of the Ray Elliot Cup in its current form. The winner of this match will get to keep the trophy forever, adding an extra layer of prestige to this already iconic contest.

Building Community Connections

To strengthen the local rugby community, the MRC encourages everyone to follow them on social media.

By doing so, fans can stay updated on competitions, events, and team news, fostering a deeper connection to the vibrant world of Maltese rugby.

By following them on social media (Instagram & Facebook) and engaging with the community, individuals can embrace this new era together!

The MRC invites everyone from players, supporters, and new fans everyone can be a part of this exciting journey in Maltese rugby.
