Harry is set to release his memoir on the 10th of January, and everyone is already talking about it!
‘Secret Government files’
Harry was only 12 years old when his mother passed away tragically.
Recounting her death, Harry says that back then he had demanded to see the ‘secret government file’ which contained photographs of the car crash, including photographs of his dying mother.
The reason he wanted to see the file was because he wanted proof that that is really what had happened.
Another reason for his request was because he couldn’t help but feel numb and needed to see something that hurt.
He also remembers William asking to be driven through the tunnel in Paris where their mother had died.
Parenthood
Harry talked about his relationship with his father Charles and he made it immediately clear that he loves his dad.
However, Harry believes that Charles was never really cut out for parenthood especially not a single parent.
Harry said that even Charles had admitted to it despite being a proud man.
Rivalry
Harry stated that he and William had a rivalry growing up, especially during their years studying at Eton.
He claims that William didn’t really want to know him.
A Cold Welcoming
Harry mentioned how William and Kate stereotyped Meghan instantly for being an actress.
This stopped them from welcoming her into the family and it led to creating barriers.
William and Kate were big fans of Meghan’s TV show ‘Suits’ however, Kate and Meghan just didn’t get on with one another.
Kate and Meghan not getting along was one of the reasons why things didn’t work out between the four of them.
Rejection
William had told Harry he loved him after their grandfather Prince Phillip’s funeral but Harry rejected him.
The two were trying to settle the differences between them and in the middle of the disagreement William told Harry that he loved him.
As Harry tried to avoid his gaze, William tried to force eye contact, while repeatedly telling him that he loved him.
Harry proceeded by telling him “I love you too but your stubbornness is extraordinary”
William replied “And yours isn’t?” which led Harry to pull away again.
William had even used the secret code which is only used during the most serious of moments “I swear on Mummy’s life”
He continued to say that what his brother had just said stopped him cold, not because of what he said, but because it did not work.
With The Queen’s Permission
Harry admitted that he had to ask The Queen for permission to not shave his beard for his own wedding day.
His brother had to shave his beard for when he tied the knot with Kate per The Queen’s orders.
However, he went to explain to her that his beard was his shield form his anxiety and his beard made him feel like himself.
