Safergrounds: A Hilarious, Satirical Spin on Queer Life in a Dystopian ‘Safe Haven’ – Live at Theatre Next Door!

Get ready for a wild ride with Safergrounds, a fresh and ironic take on a near-future world where queer people are stuck in a so-called “Safe Haven.”

Ray, Dana, Aliyah, Luka, and Mia are navigating this absurd, bubble-wrapped life that may just lead to revolution—while keeping things light and full of laughs. Think dystopia, but with a wink.

Created by Busli (two MCAST performing arts grads), this play was inspired by the need for more authentic representation of queer youth in the arts.

No tragic queer narratives here—just raw, real experiences and some much-needed fun.
