The Youth Ambassador and Beauty Queen Embarks on Her Biggest Journey Yet!
Shailey Micallef is taking Malta to the world stage! The talented beauty queen will represent our islands in the Miss Grand International pageant in Thailand. Known for her poise and determination, Shailey is ready to showcase Malta’s talent and beauty to a global audience.
“Growing up in this industry, it’s always been a dream of mine to represent Malta on a stage of this magnitude,” Shailey shared during a press conference. “This is a chance to carry Malta’s name high and show the world what we’re made of.”
Having competed in international pageants before, including Miss Supranational 2021 in Poland, Shailey is no stranger to the spotlight. Her past experiences have armed her with valuable lessons and confidence that she’s bringing to this competition.
And if that’s not impressive enough, Shailey is balancing this incredible opportunity with her final year in a Master’s in Accountancy. “It’s been a challenge, but moments like these remind me that hard work and perseverance pay off. Slowly but surely, I’m achieving my dreams,” she added.
But preparing for Miss Grand International is about more than perfecting appearances. For Shailey, it’s about embodying Malta’s values of dignity, humility, and determination. From physical preparation to mental resilience, every detail counts as she gets ready to step into the international spotlight.
As the Youth Ambassador for the Malta Trust Foundation, Shailey’s journey also carries a deeper purpose. She’s using this platform to amplify the causes she’s passionate about, proving that beauty and purpose go hand in hand.
