Glass Onion is the sequel to 2019’s mega-hit Knives Out.

It is doing extremely well, despite its limited theatrical release earning $15 million.
‘Glass Onion’ was streaming on Netflix on 23rd December.
Within the first three days of its release, it made it to the Top 10 to watch.
Here are 10 facts about Glass Onion:
The villa has a clock which gives out a loud gong every hour.
Joseph Gordon Levitt voices the clock.
The actor has appeared in all of Rian Johnson’s films so far.
The superyacht we see in the movie is registered in Malta.
The 151-foot yacht, Aquarius has a capacity is for around 10 people across five rooms.
It has a gym, jacuzzi, and several aquatic equipments.
Aquarius can be chartered for around €220k per week.
Rian Johnson, the director, considered Daniel Craig having different accents in each instalment of the franchise.
This was going to be a running joke without any explanation. He ultimately decided against it.
To maintain his familiarity with Blanc’s southern American accent, Daniel Craig worked with a dialect coach.
The movie’s title refers to the Beatles’ song of the same name played at the end credits.
Another Beatles song “Blackbird” which is from the same album of the Glass Onion, also features in the movie.
We see Miles, the multi-millionaire mogul playing it on guitar in one of the scenes.
The director was frustrated that “A Knives Out Mystery” was used in the movie’s title.
He wanted every instalment to be self-contained and only Daniel Craig’s appearance as the main character was to be carried forward.
Hugh Grant makes a cameo in the movie.
We see him as the partner of Benoit Blanc.
Angela Lansbury and Stephen Sodenheim who both passed away last year, also have cameos.
Some of the actors wanted to stay at the Amanzoe Hotel during filming.
The studio refused as the costs were excessive costing around €2,000 per night.
Daniel Craig, Dave Bautista, and Kate Hudson had refused to pay for it themselves.
The hotel is currently for sale with a 450 million price tag.
The clothing that Daniel Craig wears on the island is a vintage pool suit.
Costume designer Jenny Eagan acquired notes from a tailor that used to work in Hollywood back in the day.

Some characters in the movie are loosely inspired by real people.
Miles is said the be inspired by Elon Musk. Similar comparisons are also made to Jeff Bezos.
There will be a third movie.
Rian Johnson and Daniel Craig began working on The third ‘Knives Out’ movie as soon as Netflix bought the rights to the franchise.
It is currently in development with no release date yet.
