The 2024 Grammy Winners Have Been Announced!

Last night, the Grammy Awards took place for the 66th time at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

The Grammy Awards celebrate and honour artists and their records and are music’s biggest night of the year.

Comedian Trevor Noah hosted the Grammy for the fourth time.

It was a night dominated by female artists as they took home the biggest awards of the night.

Taylor Swift became the first artist to win Album of the Year four times for Midnights.

It earned Album of the Year, presented by Celine Dion.

This was her first public appearance as she had stepped down from music due to her stiff person syndrome diagnosis, which is not curable.

Taylor also won Best Pop Vocal Album for Midnights.

She also revealed that she would release her upcoming album on April 19th titled The Tortured Poets Department.

Miley Cyrus’ Flowers took home Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance.

This was her first Grammy attendance and she hoped that nothing could change after the night.

Billie Eilish’s winning streak at award ceremonies continued by winning two Grammys.

Billie won Best Song of the Year and Best Visual Media Song for What Was I Made For from Barbie.

The song is also nominated for an Oscar which Billie hopes to take home.

SZA’s nine nominations were one of the night’s main talking points which she won three.

Best R&B song for Snooze, Best Progressive R&B Album for SOS and Best Pop duo/group performance for Ghost in the Machine with Phoebe Bridgers.

Rising star Victoria Monet won Best New Artist and Best R&B Album urging everyone to follow their dreams.

Kylie Minogue beat favourites Bebe Rexha and Troye Sivan to win Best Pop Dance for Padam Padam.

This was the artist’s second Grammy.

Killer Mike swept the rap category with his song Scientists and Engineers winning Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song.

He also won Best Rap Album for his Michael album.

However, his night quickly turned sour as he had to be escorted and arrested by the police due to a misdemeanour charge.

Jay Z’s incredible legacy on the music and rap platform was remembered and received the Dr Dre Global Impact Award.

During his speech, he called out the awards themselves.

The Grammys are being picky on black artists, mentioning his wife Beyonce not earning a nomination for Album of the Year.

As per usual, multiple artists performed on stage with Dua Lipa opening the show with a medley.

SZA followed Dua Lipa with a medley from her SOS album.

At 80, Joni Mitchell performed for the first time at the ceremony singing Both Sides Now and winning Best Folk Album.

Tracy Chapman and Luke Combs performed Fast Car with the first behind the original song and the latter covering it.

This was Chapman’s first public appearance in 15 years.

The most unique performance of the night came from U2 where they sang from Las Vegas’s sphere.
