The Academy Awards were held at Los Angeles’ Dolby Theatre for the 96th time last night.
Otherwise known as Hollywood’s biggest night, Jimmy Kimmel hosted the awards, for the fourth time in his career.
Oppenheimer, dominated the night, winning 7 of the 13 Oscars it was nominated for.
It took home Best Picture with legendary actor Al Pacino presenting the night’s biggest prize.
Christopher Nolan won Best Director at the eighth time of asking.
Cillian Murphy won his first Oscar, and made history by becoming the first Irish actor to win an Oscar.
Robert Downey Jr also won his first Oscar for Best Supporting Actor as Lewis Strauss.
Oppenheimer eve won awards for Cinematography, Editing and Music Score.
Poor Things also won a lot last night, winning four Oscars.
Emma Stone’s tremendous performance led to her second Oscar by beating Lily Gladstone for Best Actress in a category stacked with talent.
The movie was also victorious in Production Design, Costume Design and Make Up, all of which were well deserved.
The Zone of Interest, a Holocaust movie centred on Aushwitz’s commandant and wife won Best International Feature Film, and Best Sound.
Da’ Vine Joy Randolph won Best Supporting Actress for The Holdovers, an award she was the heavy favourite to win.
Billie Eilish won Best Original Song for Barbie’s What Was I Made For?
This is her second Oscar adding to the list of several awards in her locker at just 22 years of age alongside her brother Finneas.
Barbie also had another song nominated with “I’m Just Ken” where Ryan Gosling stole the show with his performance as Ken.
Hayao Miyazaki’s latest movie The Boy and the Heron won Best Animated Film over Spiderman Across the Spiderverse.
