This week marks the release of the prequel to The Hunger Games franchise.
Titled The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, the movie is set 64 years before the first movie.
The event will focus on Coriolanus Snow’s relationship with Lucy Gray Baird and how he became Panem’s leader.
Rachel Zegler stars as Lucy and is clearly a Hunger Games fan evident in the outfits she wore on the movie’s press tour.
New York Times Square marked the beginning of the press tour and promotion.
Rachel and her boyfriend Josh Andres Rivera who both star in the movie attended together.
They also wore outfits as a tribute (pun intended) to their characters.
For the movie’s European premiere in Germany’s capital, Rachel wore a black fiery dress.
This is a reference to the first Hunger Games movie where Katniss Everdeen shows off and creates an artificial flame in her dress.
At the London premiere, Zegler wore another Katniss-inspired dress.
This time it was from the sequel Catching Fire which was a black outfit that Katniss wore during the tribute parade.
Finally, we travel to Los Angeles for the final premiere.
The outfit Rachel chose was inspired by one of District 4’s tributes, Annie Cresta.
The character marries one of the franchise’s fan favourite characters Finnick Odair in Mockingjay Part 2.
During the ceremony she wore a striking white dress which is like to like Zegler’s outfit.
The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes hits cinemas this Friday.
