The upcoming Super Mario Bros. Movie coming out in 2023 has got the gaming world in a frenzy.
When the movie got announced, many slammed the idea however, they seemed to have changed their tone after seeing what the studio shared so far.
Nintendo together with Illumination presents the iconic characters from the Super Mario universe.

Chris Pratt will be voicing Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy voices Princess Peach, Jack Black as Bowser and Seth Rogan as Donkey Kong.
The movie will ultimately bring the vibrant world of Super Mario alive in a way never before seen!
The collaboration with Illumination means that the humour will be on point.
One can already notice this from the trailer, making it the perfect family friendly film.

The film manages to excellently depict the Mushroom Kingdom and the world beyond it to the screen, while also hinting that the film will lead to a sequel based on Super Mario Galaxy, as Peach opens up her map she mentions that there’s a “huge universe” with a “lot of galaxies,”
One can say that the film is somewhat feminist as Peach is portrayed as a warrior rather than the usual damsel in distress, giving the younger audience the right idea as Peach is seen defending her kingdom from Bowser.
The film also pays homage to other classic games by referencing them throughout.
And to tackle everyone’s concern, Chris Pratt voicing Mario turned out actually good.
Many where worried about this because of Mario’s Italian accent.
While it’s not Mario’s traditional voice, Pratt managed to nail it by giving Mario a Brooklyn accent.
The Film is to release in April 2023
