Like Bitcoin, where it’s the digital version of currency, NFTs are now digital versions of collectables.
NFT or “non-fungible token” are a way of owning the original digital image.

Traditional works of art such as paintings are valuable precisely because they are one of a kind.
But digital files can be easily and endlessly duplicated.
With NFTs, artwork can be “tokenised” to create a digital certificate of ownership that can be bought and sold.
So you may be thinking, what’s stopping people from copying the digital art?
Nothing.
But it’s like buying an autographed fake print… you may have the printing of the painting, but it’s not the original.
The buyer of the NFT owns a “token” that proves they own the “original” work.
