The end of the year is in sight which means it’s that time again to think about our resolutions for the new year.
Resolutions can be tiresome or ambitious so here are some that are unique to consider for yourself.
Curiosity over opinions
Opinions can lead to arguments or indecision with yourself or others.
With natural awareness you can never be accurate about everything you think.
Don’t be afraid to approach the new year with curiosity about what you’ll encounter with less conflict and opinions.
Organise your finances
Let’s face it, many of us suffer through this at some point in our lives.
We may be going overboard if it’s using the car too much or buying too many take-outs.
Make this year the one where you sort out your financial spending.
You can make this happen by thinking of alternative outcomes that will save money and increase your health.
Try a different food every week
Many people adhere to diets, but why not add new and different types of food every week?
It’s even better when you get more nutrients and vitamins in that same type of food you eat.
Most diets are not balanced so make sure to keep them as balanced as possible to increase your enjoyment of the food you are consuming.
Increase your sleeping patterns
Science says that sleeping plays an essential part in your well-being throughout your life.
When your body needs to rest, do so.
Avoid tiredness by reducing energy or caffeine drinks, minimizing screen time and focusing on eight hours of daily sleep.
Befriend someone or more every month
If you are planning to build and enhance your social circle, try to make friends with someone or more during the twelve months of the year.
Attend many parties or social events, interacting with strangers in coffee shops or other public spaces.
Creating new relationships with the people you meet is beneficial for your health.
It will also analyse different sides of your personality and expand your knowledge.
Photo opportunities in different countries
Taking a picture of yourself at multiple countries is a great way to capture that travel-inspired feeling.
Your imagination is the key here, so keep track of the shots you have taken in the countries you are eager to visit.
Remember people’s names
This will be useful for those who have difficulty remembering people’s names.
Practice this skill all year round and you will be surprised at how rewarding it can be.
Listening over talking
We spend most of our day-to-day conversations constantly thinking about what to say next to others.
This prevents us from paying close attention to what is being said in that moment.
So make 2024 the year you listen more than thinking and talking.
This is a highly recommended tactic that strengthens interpersonal relationships.
Break a record
These will be those that challenge themselves to the limits.
Records are varied and range from ambitious to bizarre to hilarious.
Whether it’s a marathon, a pillow fight or even stretching yourself using a part of your body, make this the year to break a national or even a world record.
