Vibe decided to cover the costs of a new studio for Alex who also goes by his stage name, 3mg.
FreeHour, Lovin Malta, Malta Daily & The Times of Malta recently covered the unfortunate story of a fire inside Alex’s apartment where he lives with his mother and pets so the Vibe team decided to help!
His studio setup, clothes & furniture were severely damaged and the flat became inhabitable.
Alex has set up a page to help support them by means of donations at gogetfunding.com/3mg/
The family have been staying at a friend’s house temporarily while they look for accommodation elsewhere.
Nobody deserves this and the least we could do to help the young and talented producer, is provide him with a new studio, right?!
Vibe FM‘s station manager, Frank Zammit, said, “It’s mad to think that Alex was at the Vibe FM studios a couple of days before this happened and we were planning on working together! We can only imagine the challenges Alex and his mum are facing with getting back to normality. We felt this is the least we could do! He’s an extremely talented kid and the team wants to make sure that one little bump along the way doesn’t stop or limit him from expressing himself as an artist.”
We invited him over for what he thought was a second interview which we did end up having before the surprise.
Watch the moment we shocked him with the new set up below!
He got the job too by the way! Welcome to Vibe Alex!
