2023 has been another outstanding year for music.
From international sensations to local stars making their mark the airwaves have been dominated with banger after banger.
For the past month we asked our listeners to vote for their favourite tunes to help us shape the Hot 100.
Thousands of votes later we had a definitive list which we counted down in a six hour marathon on the last day of the year.
Lets scrub through the top 10 songs which dominated our airwaves this year!
10. PUPA – AIDAN
Aidan’s “Pupa,” features on his debut album, “This is Aidan.”
The homegrown artist clinched the top spot on our chart for an impressive 3 weeks!
9. DESIRE – CALVIN HARRIS, SAM SMITH
The song’s infectious melody, combined with Smith’s vocals, is enough to captivate our listeners.
8. ĦDEJJA – THE TRAVELLERS
“Ħdejja” by the Travellers is the highest local track this year!
It outperformed their entry from last year, “Is-Sbuħija Ta’ dan Iż-Żmien,” which secured the 11th position.

4. MAKEBA – JAIN, IAN ASHER
Originally launched in 2015, TikTok promoted its remix and has found newfound popularity.
The track has maintained a presence on our chart for 14 weeks, reaching the #2 position.
3. 7 SECONDS – JOEZI, COCO, PAPE DIOUF
This song skyrocketed, generating an enormous response in the clubs.
Recently, it secured the top spot on our chart show for a duration of 2 weeks!
2. FLOWERS – MILEY CYRUS
Miley Cyrus’s biggest hit, even outdoing “Wrecking Ball!”
It became the fastest song to reach 1 billion streams in just 112 days!
The track earned 3 Grammy nominations, spent 12 weeks on our chart, and topped it for 2 weeks.

Peggy Gou’s banger “It Goes Like” (na na na) has been crowned as Vibe FM’s top 2023 tune.
