If you haven’t yet used ChatGPT, you have definitely heard of it. 

Chat Generative Pre-Trained Transformer or better known as ChatGPT is an AI powered chat box developed by US tech company OpenAI. 

It works by generating text for your prompts so all you have to do is type in your text and receive the information. 

There has been much debate about ChatGPT.

While some educators are against it, many users claim that it functions like an assistant to help with your daily tasks. 

So what can ChatGPT do for you? 

Kickstart Projects 

If you’re struggling with a creative block, tell ChatGPT what you’re trying to do and it can help you generate a full plan with subheadings and all! 

Emails, CVs and Cover Letters

If you find yourself in a pickle and you’re not sure how to phrase an Email or what to include in your CV or Cover Letter, ask ChatGPT to help you!

While I don’t recommend leaving it completely up to AI, it can be an excellent starting point.

It can even give you some pointers on something you’ve already written yourself. 

Meal Planning 

By telling it about the ingredients found in your kitchen, ChatGPT will create a meal plan for you!

It can even prep meals for the entire week or provide creative ideas for hosting dinner parties. 

You can also be specific as you’d like such as informing it about your dietary requirements. 

Routine 

ChatGPT can even help you plan your day and structure it.

Telling you what time is right to wake up, shower, work out, go to bed and more! 

Depending on your day-to-day activities. 

Research 

Not many people will agree but ChatGPT is also helpful for researching.

It is important to understand that it is not a critical thinker, so you’ll still have to do that part (as you should).

While some schools have banned ChatGPT, it can still be helpful to explain topics to you.

Eventually, we’ll have to embrace this technology. 

Holiday Itineraries

If you’re looking for a romantic getaway or a fun family holiday, Chat GPT can quickly put together a holiday itinerary!

All you have to do is tell it your budget, how many people you’ll be and where you want to visit.

Coding 

ChatGPT can provide assistance with coding and debugging.

It can provide you with code examples, look up syntax and parameters, or help you troubleshoot by providing solutions to common coding issues or errors.

ChatGPT has many benefits and it can help you tremendously.

So why all the controversy?

Disadvantages 

ChatGPT takes a vast amount of information from the Internet and uses algorithms to shape all that information into an answer that suits your questions.

Because of this ChatGPT is not always right and despite it being a highly sophisticated AI model it is still subject to inaccuracies and could make things up. 

So don’t trust it blindly!
