Week 5 Roundup Of Love Island Malta

It’s been another exciting week at the Love Island Malta Villa, and we’re now getting down to business.

More challenges, tons of bombshells, and let’s not forget the drama, here’s what happened in week 5.

For the first week’s challenge, the boys had to test their artistic skills.

They had to paint the girls and show off their paintings afterwards to the rest of the islanders.

Some paintings stood out whilst others were hilarious.

Sven’s painting of Gabrielle paid tribute to Malta’s trees and cranes.

Andriy won the challenge by a landslide and can’t blame the girls for choosing his painting.

Yasmin, the host hadn’t appeared in the villa since the first episode but she finally made her long-awaited return.

However, she wasn’t just there to check on the islanders.

She also informed them that a recoupling would happen, which isn’t the last time you will hear that word.

Yasmin also introduced Michela the first of many bombshells that entered the villa this week.

Michela is 18 years old, half Italian and Maltese, and is looking for a guy that is taller, and takes care of her.

She had the freedom to choose first, and she immediately went with Allen.

Allen and Chelsea were understandably stunned, as were the islanders and everyone else to be fair.

Kyle partnered up with Marie, Sven picked Gabrielle, and Nicola chose Dale.

Chelsea, still heartbroken chose between Timmy and Andriy, opting for the latter.

Timmy was eliminated, sparking emotional scenes and bowing out with a song. We love you Timmy!

Then came the most anticipated challenge of the show, the Snog, Marry, and Pie challenge.

Each islander had to choose one of the opposite sex to kiss, marry or else pie them in the face.

When Marie married Kyle, he threw the ring onto the pool and drama started to ensue between the two.

I still have no idea why he threw it in the first place!

The boys were given the task of cooking a three-course meal of bruschetta, steak, potatoes, and chocolate strawberries for the girls.

The girls were mostly impressed because some had no idea how to cook.

While eating, Kyle and Marie’s drama intensified where an adorable feline appeared.

In addition to those two, Allen, Michela, and Chelsea had a drama triangle going on.

Andiry opened up with Marie about not being brave enough to go for one girl in his early days at the villa.

At least everyone ended things in good spirits!

Tuesday’s episode began with the heart rate challenge, and let’s say the islanders turned up the heat to maximum.

Their heart rate was tested by performing a lap dance on one another with the boys starting first and the girls second.

At the end of both the boys’ and girls’ lap dances, two more bombshells entered the villa.

The first was Seb, a 22-year-old fitness professional whose aim was to cause drama and win Gabby.

The second was Mimi, a 20-year-old Serbian who wanted someone with positive vibes and energy.

The boys and girls faced off in the general knowledge challenge, but with a twist.

The twist was that they had to answer questions oppositely, leading to a very competitive match.

The boys thought they had won but even the result was reversed, and the girls won instead.

I’m glad the boys were graceful in defeat (get it?).

The two new bombshells soon got a text asking who to take on a date.

Mimi chose Andriy, while Seb selected Nicola, sending the islanders wild.

The four were in complete awe when they found out they were riding horseback for the date.

For winning the general knowledge challenge, the girls secretly headed out for lunch together.

They were greeted with not just a delicious platter of sushi but also with yet another bombshell.

Cruyff, a self-employed 30 year old who wanted to try his luck with Marie Christine.

To spice things up, the boys received minute-by-minute updates on what was happening, making things lively.

Cruyff chose Marie, Chelsea and Michela to accompany him out on a date.

The girls then got a text and had to decide if they wanted to bring Cruyff back to the villa or not.

Mimi and Michela were the only two that wanted to know more about Cruyff with the rest voting against.

However, this was still enough to persuade the rest of the girls to bring him in.

Sven and Gabrielle starred in the most romantic moment on the show so far.

They made it official as boyfriend and girlfriend, the first couple to do so at the villa.

The islanders were ready to show off their talents in a challenge called Villa’s Got Talent.

We saw Dale singing One Direction, Sven and Andriy performing a comedy sketch, and even Gaby doing make-up on some of the boys to mention a few.

Soon after, Kyle received a text that the final recoupling was taking place where fate was in the girls’ hands.

There were no changes from Chelsea, Allen, Gabrielle, Sven, Nicola, Dale, Marie and Kyle.

Mimi and Cruyff partnered up leaving Michela with the difficult decision of choosing Andriy or Seb.

She opted for her gut feeling and chose Andriy leaving Seb single and dumped from the villa.

He might not have had enough time, but I am sure Seb will find his true love someday.

Love Island Malta returns next Sunday at 21:00 for its sixth and final week.
