We all know summers in Malta get super sunny and humid so here are some tips to keep your skin and hair looking at their best!
Wet your hair before swimming
Think of your hair as a sponge, if your hair is dry it will quickly absorb water around it. Wetting your hair with clean water before swimming can prevent excess chlorine or salt water from being absorbed, reducing dryness and damage.
Apply hair serums and oils
Applying serum and oil to your hair will help prevent frizziness caused by humidity.
Use a shower water filter
A filter against hard water can help prevent dry skin and reduce damage to your hair by filtering out excess limescale found in our Maltese tap water.
Use UV detection stickers
These patches help you know when its time to reapply your sunscreen. A clear sticker means you’re protected but an opaque sticker means it’s time to reapply!
Try out sunscreen sticks
These provide a quick and easy way to reapply sunscreen on the go!
Exfoliate
Exfoliating your skin twice a week can help get rid of any sunscreen, sweat or dirt that is stuck in your pores leaving your face radiant and glowing.
Cover up
The best way to reduce sun damage is to stay out of the sun! Avoiding areas of direct sunlight, wearing a hat and covering up as much as possible are the best ways to protect your skin and hair.
