Here Are Some Of The Cars Featuring In The Mdina Grand Prix

These classic cars are coming to Malta for the 13th edition of the Mdina Grand Prix!

The Malta Classic’s Mdina Grand Prix will be held on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th October starting from 9am to 4pm onwards.

Saturday’s race determines the starting order for the grand finale held on Sunday.

The Mdina Grand Prix is the perfect opportunity to appreciate some of the world’s most desired classic automobiles in a thrilling battle of speed.

Ferrari Dino 206 SP driven by Egon Hofer

Grand Prix

Austrian Car Racer Egon Hofer is not a new name for the Mdina Grand Prix.

This year he will be driving a Ferrari 206S Dino V6 DOHC which is the 1966 model.

The car was a factory work car until 1967.

The car has an international racing history with Drivers, Charlie Kolb, Biscaldi, Mario Casoni, Lorenzo Bandini, Ludovico Scarfiotti, Tony Dean, Alain de Cadenet and many more.

Ferrari 250 Testarossa Barchetta driven by Carmelo Baieli

The Testa Rossa is a racing sports car built by Ferrari from 1957 to 1961.

It was introduced at the end of the 1957 racing season in response to rule changes that enforced a maximum engine displacement of 3 litres for the 24 Hours of Le Mans and World Sports Car Championship races.

MG B/GT MK1 driven by Attilio Tripodi

Grand Prix

The MGB GT Mk1 Sebring, 1967 is the only “Sebring” example registered in Italy and it will be driven by Attilio Tripodi.

He purchased the car back in 2018  and he explained that the car shows a racing approach aimed at mixed-fast tracks.

It has excellent road holding which typically tends to raise the inside front wheel in the most demanding curves.

This car is one of the rarest Porsches produced since the legendary 959.

Fiat 1100TV/E driven by Marcello Alessi

The Fiat 1100 was produced between 1953 until 1969 as a a small family car.

It served as a complete unibody upgrade for the Fiat 1100 E, which had its roots in the pre-World War II Fiat 508 C Balilla 1100 with a body-on-frame construction.

Fiat 508 Coppa d Oro driven by Alessandro Federico

The 508 Balilla was conceived and engineered by Fiat in 1932.

It took over the role of the Fiat 509, even though production of the former model had already ended in 1929.

Porsche 356 Carrera Speedster driven by Corrado Cupellini

The Porsche 365 had a 15 year production period ranged from early 1950 until September 1965.

However, the evolution of the 356 was constant throughout its production history.
