Bad Blood is one of Taylor Swift’s most recognisable hits!
In the song, Taylor recounts a past event where one of her closest friends betrayed her.
It saw another side of the American singer whilst also building a large squad of talented female friends.
To mark the re-release of her 1989 album, let’s see what Taylor’s stance with the squad is today.
Selena Gomez
She is one of Taylor’s closest allies and their friendship spans over a decade, beginning in 2008 when both dated two of the Jonas Brothers.
They have created countless memories at high class events and her involvement as Arsyn was a no-brainer for Taylor.
At this rate their friendship is set to last at least another decade.
Selena calls her the only friend in the industry.
Zendaya
The Euphoria actress played the knife-slinging Cut Throat and all was going well.
Enter Taylor’s feud with Kanye West which completely changed their friendship.
The feud happened as “Famous”, one of Kanye’s tracks roasts Swift.
Zendaya appeared to like some tweets supporting Kanye and since Bad Blood, the pair have never spoken to each other again.
Cara Delevigne
Playing the role of the mother chucker in the video, Cara’s friendship with Taylor has remained strong ever since.
She accompanied Taylor on the 1989 tour and supported her music ownership case with Scooter Braun.
Taylor also sent a replica of the sweater she wore in the “Cardigan” music video in 2020.
Cara also livestreamed and attended Taylor’s Eras Tour opening night.
Lily Aldridge
Taylor met Lily on the same night as Delevigne, at the 2013 Victoria’s Secret fashion show.
Two years later, Taylor acquired Aldridge’s services for Frost Bite and their friendship hasn’t gotten cold since.
Aldridge attends most of Taylor’s tours and GNO’s and continually praises Swift when asked.
Martha Hunt
Continuing the Victoria secret trend, they first met at 2014’s show when Taylor performed “Blank Space” and “Style.”
Martha played Home Slice and their friendship continued over the years.
She has been very supportive of Taylor in defending her in Kanye’s feud, and even visited Taylor’s childhood home.
Not to mention, they both tribute each other whenever their birthdays arrive.
Gigi Hadid
Gigi and Taylor’s friendship was in its fifth year when she was cast as Slay Z.
Their friendship has barely encountered bumps and have created more memories since Bad Blood.
Gigi joined Taylor on stage during one of her 1989 tour shows.
Taylor also gifted her a personalized cake for Gigi’s 21st birthday.
Cindy Crawford
The supermodel stars as the head mistress in the video.
Since her involvement, they haven’t met however Taylor seems to be on pleasant terms with Cindy’s daughter Kaia Greber.
Ellen Pompeo
Known as Dr Meredith Grey on Grey’s Anatomy, Ellen has a brief cameo as Luna.
Taylor is a massive fan of the actress, even naming one of her three cats Meredith who she got in 2011.
The two continue to maintain positive contact today, with rumours circulating that Taylor would appear as a guest on Grey’s Anatomy.
Mariska Hargitay
Like Meredith, Taylor named one of her cats Olivia Benson, the role Mariska Hargitay plays in Law and Order.
Their first meeting at the Met Gala in 2015 secured her role as Justice.
Post Bad Blood, Mariska attended Taylor’s tours like most of the squad.
Ellie Goulding
First meeting as guests on the Jonathan Ross Show in 2012, Taylor signed the English songwriter to play Destructa X.
Their bond only strengthened when Ellie introduced Taylor to Calvin Harris, whom Taylor dated for a year.
Since Taylor’s breakup with Harris in 2016, she hasn’t had any contact with Ellie, possibly ending their friendship.
Hailee Steinfeld
Starring as the Trinity, Hailee’s friendship with Taylor was visible although not close.
Their last appearance was on the 1989 tour, but Taylor praised her for being a remarkable human being.
Hayley Williams
She is the main vocalist and co-founder of Paramore.
The two collaborated together when Hayley invited Taylor to sing “That’s What You Get” on the Speak Now tour.
So it comes as no surprise that Taylor signed Hayley to play the Crimson Curse.
Fast forward eight years later, Paramore is Taylor’s opening act on the Eras Tour and the singers collaborated again on “Castles Crumbling.”
Hayley mentioned Taylor’s mother as the inspiration for their close friendship.
Jessica Alba
The role of the motorcycling eficianto Domino was tailor made for the actress.
The video is heavily inspired by Sin City, a movie that Alba starred in.
While they have taken their separate ways, the two don’t seem to be on rough terms.
Jessica even attended one of her Eras Tour shows with her family.
Karlie Kloss
Prior to her Bad Blood role as Knockout, Karlie’s friendship with Taylor was inseparable.
They were both on Vogue’s front cover, embarked on a California road trip and attended multiple fashion shows.
From 2018 onwards, their stance is complicated to say the least.
From Taylor’s absence at Kloss’s wedding, to the latter’s relationship with Scooter Braun in 2019.
To make things even more confusing, she recently attended one of Taylor’s Eras tour shows.
Lena Dunham
Their Twitter conversation in 2012 regarding Swift’s Red album appraisal was enough for Lena to be involved in Bad Blood.
Despite Lena’s breakup with Taylor’s producer Jack Anatoff, they are still close friends with Taylor even becoming Lena’s bridesmaid.
Serayah
Since her role as Dilemma, Serayah has not been spotted with Taylor but that’s not necessarily an awful thing.
She first tried Tequila with Swift, which she did not like very much.
This led to her brand ambassador role for DeLeon Tequila.
