315 sausages. 2.2 metres high. 67 kg of pure Maltese flavour.
On Wednesday, 6th August, Vibe FM officially broke the record for the tallest Maltese sausage tower ever built, right in the heart of the Malta International Food Festival.
This meaty masterpiece stood at an epic 2.2 metres, made up of 315 sausages weighing a total of 67 kg. Each sausage measured around 19 cm, and yes, we measured every single one.
The record-breaking tower was built in collaboration with The London Butcher Mosta, who helped make this epic idea a spicy, garlicky, perfectly seasoned reality.
Why We Did It
This wild idea wasn’t just about stacking sausages. It was about celebrating Maltese Sausage Day — a day that Vibe FM proudly started to honour one of Malta’s most iconic traditional foods: the zalzett tal-Malti.
