Floriana is the form team of the division as the Greens notched their third successive win after overcoming Mosta 1-0.
Jake Grech scored the all-important goal for the Greens and although he missed a second-half penalty, they still did enough to hold on to the win that lifted them on the 16-point mark.

Ħamrun Spartans and Valletta are lurking just behind after registering remarkable wins last weekend.
The Spartans produced arguably their best performance of the season when they outlasted Hibernians 2-0.
Semar Smajlagic put them ahead before Joseph Mbong added a second goal after the break.
Tarxien Rainbows FC (2 – 0) Valletta FC
Valletta had to come from a goal down to see off Tarxien Rainbows 2-1.
Raphael Tavares put Tarxien ahead in first half stoppage time.
But the Citizens fought back and Yuri Messias equalised seconds later before the Brazilian lashed home a late winner to keep his team unbeaten.
Marsaxlokk FC (0 – 0) Birkirkara FC
Birkirkara and Marsaxlokk failed to boost their Top Six aspirations as they cancelled each other in a goalless draw.
The result left both teams sharing sixth place on ten points and still with a fight on their hands to book their place in the Top Six.
Sliema Wanderera FC (0 – 4) Naxxar Lions FC
Sliema Wanderers suffered a humiliating 4-0 defeat to Naxxar Lions.
The Blues looked out of sorts throughout and fell behind to a Joao Moura goal after 14 minutes.
The Wanderers struggled to fight back, and Naxxar added two more goals through Giuseppe Bonanno and Joao Victor.
Sliema failed to react in the second half, and Naxxar sealed the points with a fourth goal scored by Joao Victor, with the Blues ending the match with ten men following the dismissal of goalkeeper Rashed Al Tumi.
Żabbar St. Patrick FC (2 – 0) Gżira United FC
Żabbar St Patrick scored a goal in each half to see off Gżira United 2-0.
Zean Leonardi fired the Saints ahead before a second-half penalty from Brian Gambarte sealed Żabbar’s first win of the season.
