Floriana and Sliema Wanderers took a point each following a 2-2 draw in the Old Firm Derby.
Jake Grech put Floriana ahead before Sulahmana Bah equalised just before half-time.
Federico Varela restored Floriana’s lead but Miguel Baggio saved a point for the Wanderers.
Hibernians FC (2 – 2) Marsaxlokk FC
Ten-man Marsaxlokk came back from two goals down to hold Hibernians to a 2-2 draw at the Victor Tedesco Stadium and condemn the Paolites to a place in the Bottom Six.
It looked as though Hibernians were on their way to secure a place in the Top Six when racing into a two-goal lead courtesy of a brace by Lucas Villela.
But the Southerners, who had goalkeeper Christoffer Mafoumbi sent off on the stroke of half-time, fought back after the break, and they pulled a goal back courtesy of an own goal by Pedro Cacho before Juvhel Tsoumou grabbed the equaliser 12 minutes from time.
Birkirkara FC (0 – 2) Ħamrun Spartans FC
Birkirkara were the biggest winners of this result as the Stripes also secured their place in the Top Six despite suffering a 2-0 defeat to Ħamrun Spartans.
The Malta champions produced a show of force, scoring two first-half goals to secure a convincing victory.
N’Dri Koffi put the Spartans ahead after 10 minutes before Semar Smajlagic converted a penalty to wrap up the three points.
Valletta FC (0 – 2) Żabbar St. Patrick FC
Żabbar St Patrick handed Valletta their first defeat of the season following a 2-0 win at the Tony Bezzina Stadium.
Vinicius Pavia put the Saints ahead before Brian Gambarte sealed the points three minutes from time.
Tarxien Rainbows FC (0 – 1) Mosta FC
Mosta piled more misery over Tarxien Rainbows when they secured a 1-0 win.
Leo Fernandes netted the all-important goal when he converted a second-half penalty to condemn the Rainbows to a sixth successive defeat.
Gżira United FC (2 – 1) Naxxar Lions FC
Gżira United beat Naxxar Lions 2-1 in a match which saw them end up playing with nine men.
Johan Bonilla put Gżira ahead but Naxxar levelled through a goal by Gabriel Costa.
The Lions had the chance to go ahead when they were awarded a penalty for a handball by Clayton Failla, who was dismissed.
But Alexander Firmino saw his shot from the spot saved by goalkeeper Edoardo Colombo.
It was Gżira who grabbed the win when Andre Pena Da Costa headed home the winner.
The Maroons had David Xuereb sent off late on but they still managed to administer their lead till the end.
