The men’s division saw the University of Malta and Birżebbuġa St Peter’s maintain their strong form at the top, while the women’s league witnessed Zero Sei Futsal take a commanding lead following an impressive performance.
Men’s League Highlights
Sliema Futsal Fort Fitness recorded their first win of the season in convincing style, beating Malta FA Futsal Selection U17 by 5–1, with Brazilian Rodrigues Silva Leandro shining as the key player. University of Malta reaffirmed their contender status with a comprehensive 7–0 victory over Marsaskala Futsal Legends.
Żejtun Corinthians Futsal secured their first triumph of the campaign, defeating opponents 7–4 in an efficient display, while Birżebbuġa St Peter’s kept up the pressure on the leaders with an 8–1 win against Santa Venera Lightnings, who are still searching for their opening points.
University of Malta and Birżebbuġa St Peter’s share the top spot with 9 points each. Marsaskala Legends hold third place with 6 points, followed by Luxol St Andrews, Sliema Fort Fitness, and Żejtun Corinthians with 3 points apiece. The U19 Selection, U17 Selection, and Santa Venera Lightnings remain at the bottom without points.
Women’s League Action
In a thrilling encounter, St George’s Futsal and Swieqi United Futsal battled to an exciting 4–4 draw. This allowed Zero Sei Futsal to seize sole control at the summit by delivering a dominant 10–2 victory over Parr Mela Rockets Futsal. Luxol Sports Club Futsal Argus strengthened their position in the top three with an 8–0 win over St Andrews Futsal.
Zero Sei Futsal currently lead the women’s standings with 9 points, followed by St George’s Futsal on 7 and Luxol Futsal Argus on 6. St Andrews have 3 points, Swieqi United have 1, and Parr Mela Rockets are yet to claim a point.
