The futsal league resumed with another week of high-scoring matches and decisive results, as Luxol and the University of Malta celebrated big wins in the men’s division, while Zero Sei Futsal continued to assert control at the top of the women’s standings.
Men’s League: Goals Galore for Top Contenders

In the men’s competition, league leaders University of Malta Futsal extended their perfect start to the season with a commanding 12–2 victory over Santa Venera Lightnings Futsal. The Lightnings remain in search of their first points, while the University side maintained their winning momentum to stay atop the table.
Luxol St. Andrews Futsal also delivered a remarkable display, crushing Futsal Selection U17 18–0. Luke Gatt and Aiden Buhagiar each netted four goals in a statement win that reinforced Luxol’s reputation as one of the league’s most powerful attacking sides.
Żejtun Corinthians Futsal WA stayed firmly in contention near the summit with an 8–4 triumph over Sliema Futsal Fort Fitness.

Meanwhile, Marsaskala Futsal Legends secured a comfortable 4–0 victory against Futsal Selection U19, racing into a 3–0 lead within minutes and maintaining full control thereafter.

After Matchweek 4, the men’s standings show University of Malta Futsal leading with 12 points from four matches, followed by GŻR Birżebbuġa St. Peter’s Futsal and Marsaskala Futsal Legends, both on nine points. Luxol St. Andrews Futsal and Żejtun Corinthians Futsal WA are close behind with six points each, while Sliema Futsal Fort Fitness have three. Futsal Selection U19, Futsal Selection U17, and Santa Venera Lightnings Futsal continue to struggle, all yet to register a point.
Women’s League: Zero Sei Maintain Perfect Run
Zero Sei Futsal strengthened their grip on the women’s league with a dominant 7–0 win over St. George’s Futsal. Star striker Vanessa Carneiro led the way with a first-half hat-trick as Zero Sei handed St. George’s their first defeat of the campaign.

Luxol Sports Club Futsal Argus kept up the chase at the top, defeating Parr Mela Rockets Futsal 3–1 to remain within striking distance of the leaders. Parr Mela, meanwhile, are still searching for their first win.
Swieqi United Futsal LEC07 also found form, achieving their first points of the season through a comprehensive 8–1 victory against St. Andrews Futsal, pushing them into the upper half of the table.

Following Matchweek 4, Zero Sei Futsal lead the women’s standings with 12 points from four matches, ahead of Luxol Sports Club Futsal Argus on nine. St. George’s Futsal sit third with seven points, followed by Swieqi United Futsal LEC07 on four. St. Andrews Futsal hold three points, while Parr Mela Rockets Futsal remain at the foot of the table without a win.
