Futsal Malta hosted its annual draw event for the Futsal Trophy competitions, gathering club representatives, sponsors, and invited guests in a celebration of the local futsal community. The occasion highlighted the continuous growth of futsal across the island and the strong partnerships driving its success.

In his opening remarks, Futsal Malta Association President Mark Borg expressed gratitude to all stakeholders contributing to the sport’s progress — including sponsors, the Malta Football Association, participating clubs, and the association’s committee. He emphasized the collective effort behind futsal’s increasing visibility and participation levels in Malta.
During his address, Mr Borg also announced this year’s official sponsors. The Women’s Futsal Trophy will be backed by Enemed, while the Men’s Futsal Trophy will continue under the sponsorship of Laferla Insurance. Both sponsors reaffirmed their support as part of their commitment to the development of Maltese futsal.
Enemed Women’s Futsal Trophy
This year’s Women’s Futsal Trophy draw produced a knockout bracket that promises plenty of excitement and competitive matchups.
- Zero Sei were paired with Parr Mela Rockets, with the winner set to meet Luxol St Andrews, who received a bye to the next round.
- On the opposite side, Swieqi United will face Sliema, while St George’s also progress automatically and will meet the victor of that fixture

The competition continues to reflect the rapid growth and rising standards of women’s futsal in Malta, with teams showing increasing depth and skill each season.
Laferla Men’s Futsal Trophy
In the men’s competition sponsored by Laferla Insurance, the draw resulted in a series of intriguing fixtures featuring some of Malta’s most established futsal clubs.
- One half of the bracket features University of Malta Futsal, Marsaskala Futsal Legends, Luxol St Andrews Futsal, and GŻR Birżebbuġa St Peter’s Futsal, all fighting for a slot in the next knockout round.
- The opposing side of the bracket will see Żejtun Corinthians Futsal taking on MFPA Futsal Selection U17, while Sliema Futsal Fort Fitness await the winner between Santa Venera Lightnings Futsal and MFPA Futsal Selection U19.

The Laferla Men’s Futsal Trophy remains one of the most prestigious titles on the Futsal Malta calendar, offering thrilling competition and the potential for new stories of sporting success to unfold.
