Be Tikka Banda for a Day is back, and it’s turning the Ta’ Qali National Park into a living, breathing symphony.
Ever wondered what it’s like to go from a first rehearsal to a standing ovation in just a few hours? Here’s your backstage pass to the most immersive musical experience of the year.
The Main Event: From Practice to Performance 🎷
This is where the magic happens. Led by guest conductor Roderick Bugeja, musicians of all levels are invited to step out of their practice rooms and into a real experience band environment. You won’t just be playing notes, you’ll be building confidence in the great outdoors.
The Timeline:
-
12:00 PM: Registration kicks off. Grab your exclusive event merch and meet your fellow bandmates.
-
The Afternoon: Dive into rehearsals. It’s raw, it’s loud, and it’s happening right in the middle of the park for the whole community to see.
-
3:45 PM: Take a breather at the Fountain Area for a live supporting set by Morgan Mae & Tristan Oa.
-
5:00 PM: Showtime! The rehearsals end and the final public concert begins. This is the moment the work turns into a shared celebration.
Fun for the little ones 🥁
The Tikkini Music Sessions offer ticketed, hands on musical workshops specifically designed for kids aged 3 to 10. While the grown-ups are rehearsing, the little ones can discover their own rhythm.
Not a Musician? No Problem!
If you’d rather listen than play, Ta’ Qali is still the place to be. The park will be buzzing with:
-
Outdoor Music Games
-
Street Art
-
On site Catering
-
Open Spaces
Created by Tikka Banda and supported by VisitMalta, the Malta National Park, and Vibe FM, this event is all about breaking the “fourth wall” of music.
Ready to join the ranks? Musicians of various levels are encouraged to register now to secure their spot in the band.
