The top clash of the weekend was the duel between leaders Floriana and Ħamrun Spartans.
It looked as though Floriana were on their way to securing a crucial 1-0 win when Kenan Dervisagic put them ahead after 12 minutes of play.
When it looked as though Foriana would snatch the win, Matthew Guillaumier fired home the equaliser in the sixth minute of stoppage time.
The result left Floriana two points clear of Ħamrun Spartans with only two matches to go till the end of the League Phase of the Closing Round.
Mosta FC (1 – 2) Marsaxlokk FC
Marsaxlokk remained in third place after coming from a goal down to see off bottom-placed Mosta.
It was the Blues who surged ahead with a stunning strike from Pedro Cacho.
But the Southerners fought back strongly with Dodo Soares taking centre stage when first levelling matters with another fine strike before stabbing home the winner just before the break.
Hibernians FC (1 – 1) Valletta FC
Valletta failed to gain ground in the race for a Top 6 berth when they were held by Hibernians to a 1-1 draw.
Sava Radic put the Citizens ahead on the hour mark but Hibs managed to rescue a point with a spectacular overhead kick goal from Miullen.
The Brazilian took off his shirt to celebrate the goal and was dismissed.
Gżira United FC (1 – 1) Żabbar St. Patrick FC
Gżira United also dropped two priceless points when they were held by Żabbar St Patrick to a 1-1 draw.
The Maroons looked on their way when David Xuereb gave them a first-half lead.
However, the Żabbar side ensured they remained unbeaten under the charge of Gilbert Agius when Ayom Mayok a minute from time.
In stoppage time, Żabbar had Vinicius Paiva dismissed for a second yellow card.
Tarxien Rainbows FC (1 – 1) Sliema Wanderers FC
Sliema Wanderers also failed to clinch the three points as they had to settle with a point against Tarxien following a 1-1 draw.
Uros Djuranovic fired them ahead ten minutes into the second half but Tarxien refused to lie down and equalised ten minutes later through Anthony Lokosa.
Naxxar Lions FC (0 – 0) Birkirkara FC
In the other match of the weekend, Naxxar Lions remained two points clear of Birkirkara in the race for a Top 6 berth following a goalless draw.
