Vibe FM is about to shake up Maltese radio this April, with the launch of the country’s first-ever AI-powered radio show.

The station will begin testing AI versions of its flagship breakfast show, The Morning Vibe, recreating the voices, personalities, and on-air energy of Nate, Nicole, Marvic, and Kurt using advanced voice technology.
Behind the scenes, Vibe FM engineers have been training a powerful AI system using real vocal samples from the team, building digital presenters that sound almost identical to the real thing. Same voices. Same rhythm. Same chaos.

The project has already turned heads, with Minister Silvio Schembri and MEP Alex Agius Saliba visiting the station and backing it as a bold step forward for Malta’s media landscape.
Station Director Andrew Zammit says the aim is simple, make the show sharper, more consistent, and always ready. It also allows the show to keep running seamlessly, even when the team isn’t physically in the studio.

The first phase of testing goes live this April.
Radio just changed the rules.
