The finalists of the Maltese Futsal Premier have now been confirmed, as Luxol St Andrews Futsal and University of Malta Futsal will face each other in a “best of three” final scheduled for the closing days of May.

In the semifinal clash between Luxol St Andrews Futsal and GŻR Birżebbuġa Futsal, GŻR Birżebbuġa made a strong start and managed to take an early lead. However, Luxol’s relentless pressure soon took control of the game. Their attacking dominance proved overwhelming, as they surged to an emphatic 8-1 victory. With two wins in the semifinal series, Luxol once again secured their place in the final in convincing fashion.

The second semifinal between University of Malta Futsal and Marsaskala Futsal was far more closely contested. The southern side opened the scoring, but the University responded to level the match. The intensity remained high throughout, with Marsaskala reclaiming the lead before the University equalized once more, ending the game at 2-2. This result, combined with their first-leg win, was enough to send the University side through to the final.

With both teams showing strong form throughout the semifinals, the stage is now set for an exciting and competitive final series to determine this season’s Maltese Futsal Premier champions.
