Young Maltese entrepreneur Elenya Spiteri has been selected as one of the Top 3 finalists in the 2026 European Youth Entrepreneurship Award, making her one of the youngest finalists in the competition across Europe.
Spiteri previously led Medimynd, a healthcare-focused startup which achieved major success last year after winning first place in Malta and placing third across Europe in an international entrepreneurship competition. Following that success, she continued developing the concept independently and rebranded the project as Medilert.

Now, her innovation and entrepreneurial journey have earned her another major milestone, with Medilert being recognised on a European level ahead of the final competition taking place in Brussels on June 4th.
The European competition brings together some of the continent’s most promising young entrepreneurs, with finalists selected for their innovation, leadership and potential impact.
Speaking about the achievement, Spiteri described the journey as both emotional and motivating, saying that the support she has received locally continues to inspire her as she prepares to pitch abroad.

Her selection places Malta once again on the European entrepreneurship map, highlighting the growing presence of young Maltese innovators in international competitions.
The finalists were officially announced by the American Chamber of Commerce to the European Union.
Good luck to Elenya as she represents Malta in Brussels.
