Malta is set to welcome music industry professionals from around the world this October as Music Summit Malta launches its first edition in St Julian’s.
Taking place from 7 to 10 October 2026 at the Hard Rock Hotel, the four-day event will bring together investors, music technology companies, startups, artists, producers and industry professionals for a programme of talks, panels, exhibitions, workshops, showcases and networking opportunities.
Presented by AISO Academy, Music Summit Malta aims to create a meeting point between the European music industry and the wider international market, with a particular focus on conversation and collaboration between speakers and attendees.
International Names Head To Malta
Among the speakers announced for the inaugural edition is John Acquaviva, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Plus 8 Equity Partners. A major figure in electronic music, Acquaviva co-founded pioneering techno label Plus 8 Records and later helped found and launch Beatport.
He will be joined by Mick Wilson, Editor at DJ Mag Ibiza, and Gabriella Heybourne, who works in Music Strategy & Operations at ElevenLabs.
Also joining the lineup is Andreea Magdalina, Founder and CEO of shesaid.so, a global community for women and gender minorities in music. Magdalina is also part of the innovation team at Coachella.
Together, the speakers reflect the summit’s focus on some of the biggest developments shaping the future of the music industry, spanning electronic music, artificial intelligence, music technology and investment.
Four Days Of Music, Industry And Networking
Music Summit Malta begins on Wednesday, 7 October with a pre-party before the main conference gets underway.
Thursday and Friday will see the Hard Rock Hotel host the summit’s main programme of talks, panels, exhibitions and workshops. Each conference day will be followed by drinks and live showcases at the Hard Rock Cafe.
The programme continues with an after-party at Gianpula on Friday, before the four-day event concludes with a closing party at Tortuga Beach on Saturday, 10 October. The lineups for the parties are expected to be announced soon.
Creating Opportunities For The Music Industry
Behind the event is AISO Academy, which was founded in Malta in 2024 and runs workshops, mentorship and hands-on programmes covering music production, DJing and audio engineering.
Its initiatives range from a Summer School for young talent and music retreats to Erasmus, youth exchange and European Solidarity Corps projects, with an emphasis on connecting participants with opportunities in Malta and internationally. Music Summit Malta marks the academy’s first international industry event.
