PRISM is on a mission to create a super-secure quantum communication network that will render any data transferred through it completely unhackable.
This EU-backed project, which is being undertaken as part of the European Quantum Communication Infrastructure initiative, has major implications for sectors such as banking, the medical industry and critical infrastructure.
It’s hoped that this new technology will lead to all of our online lives becoming infinitely more secure in the years to come.
The Maltese team behind the project recently demonstrated this next-generation network in action at the University of Malta.
