Valletta came back from two goals down to beat Naxxar Lions 4-2.
Emiliano Montero put Naxxar ahead after three minutes, and then Vitinho doubled their lead on 31 minutes.
Valletta pulled a goal back ten minutes from the break through their new signing, Ahmed Adebayo.
After the break, Valletta turned the match around with three quick goals scored by Yuri Messias, one of which was from a penalty, and the other from Adebayo to complete an impressive win.

Floriana avenged their FA Trophy upset at the hands of Żabbar St Patrick, brushing aside the Saints 3-0.
Kenan Dervisagic put the Greens ahead midway through the first half.
Jake Grech doubled their lead after the interval before Myles Beerman sealed the points with a third goal a minute from time.
Ħamrun Spartans FC (2 – 0) Sliema Wanderers FC
Ħamrun Spartans scored a goal in each half to see off Sliema Wanderers 2-0.
Joseph Mbong put the Malta champions ahead, but they had to wait until stoppage time to wrap up their win through their Colombian forward Demar Ceter.
Gżira United FC (2 – 1) Tarxien Rainbows FC
Gżira United had to dig deep into their reserves to overcome Tarxien Rainbows 2-1.
The Rainbows made a flying start and took the lead after only three minutes play through Angel Valverde after 19 minutes of play.
Johan Bonilla levelled matters on 28 minutes for Gżira United.
The Maroons suffered a blow on 70 minutes when Milos Stojanovic was sent off for a second bookable offence.
But despite being a man down, they managed to score a late winner through Fabricio Virgens.
The Gżira match-winner was sent off after his celebrations for taking his shirt off, leaving his team to end the match with nine players.
Marsaxlokk FC (1 – 0) Birkirkara FC
Marsaxlokk piled more misery on Birkirkara as they beat them 1-0.
Dodo Soares grabbed the winner for the Southseasiders, who celebrated their second win in a row.
The win proved fatal for Birkirkara coach Gianluca Festa, who was sacked by the club and was replaced by Paul Zammit.
Hibernians FC (1 – 0) Mosta FC
Hibernians needed an early goal to overcome Mosta. Duane Bonnici grabbed the winner after only 12 minutes of play.
