COVID affected our lives so much and these are some of the things we all did during the pandemic.
Buying toilet paper
When the first signs of COVID-19 began in Malta, several people went into panic mode to buy toilet paper!
Cakes where being shaped into toilet rolls too!
Baking Banana Bread
Baking banana bread is one of the easiest things to bake!
Influencers joined in on the trend and shared some easy Banana Bread recipes to try out at home.
Working from home
Depending on your area of work, you’ve either been going into the workplace since the pandemic began, or you’ve been working from the comfort of your own home in a shirt and sweatpants.
Watching Dr. Charmaine Gauci and Dr. Chris Fearne
Every household was glued to the TV or Saħħa’s Facebook page when the clock strikes 12pm to watch the 12pm press conference to announce the new number of cases and new COVID measures.
Watching old Maltese TV shows again…
We felt like it was summer again because several stations where airing old Maltese TV series once again!
Cleaning… EVERYTHING!
While we were told to sing the ‘Happy Birthday’ song and wash our hands frequently, we were also advised to clean our homes regularly and disinfect all of our groceries & shopping.
Endless Workouts
It felt like everyone became a professional runner or a fitness influencer, including the ones who are glued to the sofa. It was entertaining while it lasted!
Joined Tik-Tok… and became obsessed with the app
Many of us swore we’d never download TikTok when it originally became popular, only to find ourselves obsessed to it weeks later. We went from criticizing the app to spending hours scrolling through our FYP and attempting to learn all of the popular dances. Quarantine is to blame. During these trying times, several celebrities used TIK-TOK to communicate with their fans.
