Volunteer Or Judge At The Island Games – The Mediterranean’s Fitness Festival
The Island Games are descending upon the stunning Pretty Bay in Birżebbuġa this May 15th–17th, 2026, and they’re looking for a legendary squad of volunteers and judges to help them turn the beach into the ultimate functional fitness arena.

Whether you’re a stickler for the rules or a logistical mastermind, we have a spot for you:
The Judge
Sharp eyes and a firm voice. If you’ve got 20/20 vision and aren’t afraid to “no-rep” a squat, this is for you. You’ll be on the floor, motivating teams and marking scores using the Circle 21 paperless live scoring system. Don’t sweat the technical stuff, they will walk you through every movement standard beforehand, and the Head Judge is always on hand for backup.
Athlete Management
The ultimate People Person. You’ll be the heartbeat of the event, handling registrations and ensuring athletes are in the right place at the right time. You’re the one getting them hyped in the warm-up area and lined up for glory.
Equipment Crew
The heavy lifters. Want to stay active without the pressure of the leaderboard? Help build the arena! You’ll be responsible for setting up the floor, moving kit between heats, and ensuring the Ergs are primed and ready to fly. There will be a full dry run so you know exactly where everything goes.
Note: A background in CrossFit, Hyrox, or functional fitness is a plus, but if you’re eager to learn and love the beach, we’ll teach you the rest!
