The court is prepped, the whistles are ready, and the spirit of solidarity is about to take center stage.
The 16th edition of the BOV Volleyball Marathon has just been announced and will be transforming the MFCC into a hub of high-energy athleticism and heartfelt giving.
53 Hours of Pure Dedication
The marathon kicks off on Thursday 16th July! From that moment until the final whistle on Saturday, 18th July, the action will not stop.
Forty players, who would have endured weeks of training, and selected from amongst all those who did the trials, will be divided into five teams. Their mission? To tackle 53 hours of continuous volleyball.
For these athletes, it isn’t about trophies or personal glory; it is about pushing their physical limits to support those who need it most.
A Mission Beyond the Court
The stakes are high as Id-Dar tal-Providenza continues to provide essential residential services its 115 residents. The home needs around €7.5m annually to operate, and these fund raising efforts are vital to Id-Dar tal-Providenza.

Bigger and More Ambitious Plans
As the costs to run Id-Dar tal-Providenza continue to rise the organisers continue to look for ways to elevate the event. This is why moving the event to MFCC is key to growing the fundraising effort, and in turn being in a position to raise more funds!
