The BOV Super Cup is going to Gozo for the first time ever!
An epic fixture is being lined up for local football fanatics with the BOV Super Cup in Gozo.
The match will see last season’s BOV Premier League champions Hibernians and Izibet FA Trophy winners Floriana compete for the trophy.
Will it be Hibernians’ fourth or Floriana’s third Super Cup in their history?
The match will be played on the 8th December (Public Holiday) in Malta’s sister island.
“It is an honour for us that competitions like this are played in Gozo,” said Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri announcing the fixture.
“After a two-year absence due to the pandemic, this edition that will take place in Gozo for the first time is much-awaited,” said The Minister for Education Clifton Grima.
“The BOV Super Cup represents top Maltese football and the Association is taking it to Gozo to also give the Gozitans the opportunity to experience first-hand one of the top competitions in Maltese football,” said MFA Vice President Matthew Paris
